What are recommended brewing times and what are the benefits?Updated a month ago

Each Fresh Press has its minimum and recommended brewing and conditioning times.

Both of these timings will produce incredible Fresh Beer and Hard Cider, but we would advise following the recommended time, as this will give you better carbonation along with a slightly more complex flavour profile. We wouldn’t advise going more than 24 hours over the recommended brewing times, as this can introduce off flavours into your brew.

The brewing times for each Fresh Press can be found in two places:

  • Within our App: Tap 'Start Brewing' then select your chosen Fresh Press, and the calendar will advise on both the Recommended and Minimum times.
  • On the website: Click on each Fresh Press within the Fresh Beer section of the Shop for its full information, including minimum and extended Brewing & Conditioning times.

If you need to shorten or extend the conditioning time by a few days, that’s totally fine - you’ll still get a great beer! That said, giving it the full recommended conditioning period will always deliver the best results in terms of flavour and carbonation. However, we never recommend shortening the brewing time, as this part of the process is far less forgiving and cutting it short can negatively affect your brew.
