We&apos;re sorry to hear that your Brew hasn&apos;t turned out as expected. The reason for this depends on how it tastes.Please click below on the description that best describes how your Brew tasted:<a href="#Synthetic">Synthetic after Hopping</a><a href="#Sour" target="_self">Acidic, Smoky, Soapy, Eggy, Vinegary, like Disinfectant or Sour</a><a href="#Yeasty">Sweet/Syrupy</a>Synthetic after HoppingA synthetic taste is a sign that the beer needs more conditioning, after adding the hop oil. It will mellow out after about 3 days but if it is a particularly &quot;hoppy&quot; style, it may need a day or two more. Acidic, Smoky, Soapy, Eggy, Vinegary, like Disinfectant or SourIt sounds like your Fresh Press may have become contaminated. This most likely happened during the Brewing stage. We would ask that you don&apos;t continue to drink the Brew, and we highly recommend carrying out a Deep Clean and Extended Purification of your Pinter before your next brew. To do this, give your Pinter a good scrub with washing up liquid and a soft sponge, paying attention to each removable part, such as the Active Pour Tap, Main Cap and Brewing Dock. It&apos;s vital to make sure every area of the Pinter inside is cleaned thoroughly before use. To complete an extended purification, simply follow the purification instructions, but leave the purifier in the Pinter for an extended time of 10 minutes rather than 10 seconds. Allow some of the purified water to drain from the back of the Pinter through the Carbonation Dial, and Hopping Inlet and allow as much of the purified water to drain through the tap as possible. Sweet/SyrupyIt sounds like your Fresh Beer hasn&apos;t fermented correctly if you&apos;ve been left with Sweet Brew. The reasons for this could be either that it wasn&apos;t brewed at a high enough temperature for the yeast to activate, or that the Fresh Press, water and Brewing Yeast weren&apos;t mixed thoroughly enough before the Brewing phase. For your next Brew, we recommend the following steps:- Ensure that you&apos;re shaking your Pinter 3 times for 30 seconds taking a 30-second break in between each shake when mixing the Press with the water and yeast. Alternatively, you could stir it with a&#xA0;sterilised spoon to ensure it is fully incorporated. -Mix the Fresh Press into the water first, and then add the Yeast afterwards and mix for a second time. This allows the yeast to be fully incorporated. - Make sure that the water you&apos;re using to mix with is warm in order to ensure the brew reaches and stays at the correct temperature whilst brewing. - Ensure your Pinter is kept at the optimal temperatures during the Brewing stage. These are 18oC for all Ales and Ciders, and 16oC for all Pilsners and Lagers.- If the room isn&apos;t at ideal temperatures we would suggest following the extended brewing times. This will help the yeast to fully ferment the beer.

The cloudiness of the Fresh Beer or Fresh Cider depends on which Style you&apos;ve decided to make. Like lots of craft beers, ours can be cloudy. This is due to the ingredients that give them their distinctive flavours! Most importantly, our Fresh Beers and Hard Ciders are unfiltered; filtering is one of the tricks big industrial brewers use to make their drinks clear more quickly, which we feel compromises the freshnessIf you wish for your Fresh Beer to be crystal clear then we recommend Cold Crashing your brew. This is when you put your Pinter in the fridge vertically while still attached to the Brewing Dock for 24 hours. The cold will cause all of the yeast and sediment to clump together, sink to the bottom and collect in the Brewing Dock. You simply then take off the Brewing Dock and Condition as you usually would and the resulting beer should then pour perfectly clear.
